We printed out the comments, cut them into strips, folded them, mixed them up, placed them in a basket and then the blindfolded ten-year-old (by the way, Happy Birthday -- a day late -- Allan!) pulled out a piece of paper.

Dog days of summer

If you have been reading this blog, you know I like free stuff. And giveaways rule! The biggest giveaway I have seen lately is taking place at Rocks In My Dryer. Shannon is hosting the Dog Days of Summer Bloggy Giveaway. Before her linking system overloaded, it was showing over 400 links of bloggers giving away hand made notecards, books, purses, kids clothes, you-name-it-somebody-is-probably-offering-it! The link system collapsed, but her husband fixed the links in a different way so there is no telling how many there are now.

Check it out -- you won't regret it!

Contest and free sample

As part of the July 4th Giveaway, 5 Minutes for Mom is offering two sets of Memory Cross cards. These look like a fun way to learn Bible verses. If you go to Memory Cross's website, they are offering a limited supply of free samples. And free is always good.

Apronpalooza

All this week Nan at Life is Like a Lunchbox will be hosting Apronpalooza, a giveaway of aprons (and who doesn't want an apron? They are making a comeback, you know). The number one rule: "You may enter each contest only ONCE. You can however beg your husband and relatives to enter to win also but they must do so through another computer. Please be honest and only enter once." There will be multiple contests per day, so check them out.

Bandages, bandages everywhere

The more I stop by 5 Minutes for Mom, the more I enjoy it.

The give away now? Forty-five -- 45!!!! -- boxes of Nexcare bandages! With four kids -- and the youngest two making up injuries when someone else in the family needs a bandage -- I could really, REALLY use 45 boxes of bandages.

Who doesn't want this?

5 Minutes for Mom is giving away a Digital Photo Frame. It looks great. Reading Janice's description started me thinking about who in my life (besides me) could use/might enjoy one of these. In case my husband is reading this post, this DOES NOT mean you need to rush out and buy one for me from the kids for Mother's Day.
